It seems now we have a cover for the 40k flier supplement "Death from the Skies". It looks like this compendium is real, and is just around the corner with a rumored release date of February 16th. I have included below the rest of the current rumors surrounding this release.
Although this looks legit, please take it as a rumor until we get something official.

My sources say this will be a 70 page "compendium".
It will have updated 6th edition rules for flyers:
Stormraven (now available to space marines and BT)
Storm Talon
Ork Bomba / dakka jet / burna bomba
Valkyrie / vendetta
Razorwing & Voide Raven
Night Scythe / doom scythe
also dog fighting rules from crusade of fire and a new flyers scenario.
I'm told this book will be a range item and not a limited release.

A new 40k supplement book will be released on 16th February:
"Death from the Skies" (26€, mail order only, chance of being in English only).
More when I know more. But it certainly sounds like a flyer supplement.

This is not as exciting as people may think. I saw the advert for the book at a local store; It contains only rules for fliers still on sale or with a codex entry (the Dark Eldar bomber is in), some fliers have their rules updated to 6th edition (whatever this means exactly). The only thing actually new is, that the Stormraven is now available to Codex Space Marines and Black Templars as well. Also you will find the flier rules from Crusade of Fire and new missions. The book will be on sale (no pre-order) from 16th of February, is direct only (so not from your FLGS), english language only and will not be limited stock.

eh effettivamente è interessante, dato che quella BA è molto diversa da quella GK.
non sarebbe male se estendessero i volanti DE anche x gli eldar... ma non pretendo troppo!!
x l'italiano non credo. sembra essere una uscita solo direct in inglese.
mi sa che sono rimasti scottati dalle altre espansioni!! 
sull'ultimo WD non c'è nulla cmq... mah

Il problema è che non si è ancora capito se è un compendio al regolamento (quindi ufficiale) o un'espansione (come città della morte/assalto planetario etc...) quindi opzionale.
Nel primo caso io sono sicuro di prenderlo, al massimo se volete vi giro delle fotocopie/scan e così siamo tutti allineati. |

In teoria no, non è la traduzione che rende ufficiale un manuale (a meno che non si giochi ai tornei dove hanno mille pare...). Certo che cmq sono dei geni del marketing....
La questione importante quando uscirà sarà sapere se vengono aggiornati i profili dei volanti usciti prima della 6th per equilibrarli oppure se contiene solo fuffa OPZIONALE che se vogliamo usare la trattiamo allo stesso modo di città della morte/assalto planetario. |

Hai ragione!
Io però sto parlando di Marketing. Se fai un manuale di regole ufficiali tutti lo comprano, ergo guadagni un casino se fai tutte le traduzioni, piuttosto che una sola versioni in inglese.

| confermo anche io di aver avuto notizie da gente che dovrebbe aver visto le pagine fotografate del compendio, che il vendetta sta sui 200 punti, la storm non cambia, il voidraven dei DE rimane così, il razorwing si abbassa a 125 punti, la falce da trasporto necron sta sui 160 punti se non erro, la storm passa a tutti i marine tranne i DA, la talon anche passa a molti codex marine ma non a tutti... |

Can confirm guys, definitely going ahead, nothing new in it just a compilation of all the flyer rules into one handy supplement, supposed to be au $35 so for every one else about half that price lol. Storm ravens are definitely able to be taken for Space Marines and Black Templar, bu that's the only change. |

Era da immaginare.... proprio per il fatto che è solo mail order e in inglese. Troppo 'limitato' per essere un'aggiunta al regolamento.
meglio così, 35€ risparmiati

Ok, sono stanco e mezzo rincoglionito....si sembra che il regolamento base non venga toccato, solo estensioni ai codex... |
